Author Guidelines
We welcome original research, reviews, and perspectives across health data science. JHDS is read by the people building and deploying these systems, so we ask authors to write for a clinical and technical audience at once.
Scope
JHDS publishes work on the methods and practice of using data to improve health, including predictive modeling, machine learning, natural language processing, data governance, equity, and implementation.
Article types and limits
Original Research (up to 4,000 words), Review (up to 6,000), Perspective (up to 2,000), and Brief (up to 1,500). Word limits exclude references, tables, and figures.

Ethics
Include IRB or ethics approval where applicable and disclose all conflicts of interest.
